Graston Technique in Florida

Soft tissue injuries aren’t just painful; they can impact your quality of life. We proudly offer Graston Technique® (GT) therapy, an effective and noninvasive treatment for chronic, acute, or post-surgical pain. If you have a soft tissue injury or condition, call our offices to find out how GT therapy can get you back to a pain-free life.

What Is GT Therapy?

GT therapy is a unique, evidence-based treatment that uses special instruments to mobilize your body’s injured soft tissues. When combined with rehabilitation, GT therapy helps restore your range of motion and normal function while reducing your pain.

The Graston Technique accelerates your natural healing processes and can treat chronic, acute, or post-surgical pain rooted in the soft tissues of your body. It’s also an effective treatment to break up painful or restrictive scar tissue.

At Coastal Healthcare Partners, we use the specially designed Graston tools to detect knots and damage in your soft tissue. Our doctor then runs the tools over your skin to break up the tissue, restore mobility, and speed up your healing.

Depending on your injury and the program our doctor designs for you, you’ll typically have 1-2 treatments each week. Most treatment programs include a total of 6-12 sessions. GT therapy is a noninvasive treatment, and it only takes about 30-60 seconds for each treatment area.

You may experience some minor discomfort during the procedure and some bruising afterward. Our doctors are trained to recognize these reactions, and they adjust the treatment accordingly.

Our team at  Coastal Healthcare Partners will help you establish a pain-free level of activity and exercise as an essential part of your rehabilitation program. Most patients who receive GT therapy have a positive response after only a few treatment sessions.

Once you have progressed beyond the early stages of inflammation and repair, you can resume your favorite activities.

GT therapy has positive outcomes in 75-90% of all conditions treated. It is equally effective in addressing acute and chronic injuries, and in restoring and maintaining your optimal range of motion.
